Tigers, bears, or wolves at Chabot Gun Club?

For those of you that shoot AKs at Chabot Gun Club, what kind of 7.62x39 ammo is allowed to be shot there? I'll be getting my first AK soon and would like to purchase some 7.62x39 ammo in bulk. However, I don't want to be stuck with a bulk of ammo I'm not allowed to shoot.

I've seen some decent prices for Golden Tiger, Bear (brown, silver, and golden), and wolf ammo online, so what do you guys shoot out of your AK?

    Thanks!

Wolf. Doesn't matter what kind you shoot as long as it's not incendiary. I've seen people shooting Golden Tiger and Barnaul.

Sooooo, how does one know if the ammo is "incendiary?" Steel core ammo? What does that exactly mean (the steel core part)?

      Thanks!

No tracers or things that emit fire or explode. Otherwise, anything goes. Golden tiger, wolf, the bears, barnaul, etc. Those kinds of special rounds usually have painted tips, unless a previous owner removed the paint
I hate people that are full of hate.

It's not illegal to tip for PPT!

If the ammo were incendiary it would say so on the box - I don't recall if the ammo has a red or green tip. Your chances of running across the stuff in CA is slight, pretty sure it's not legal.

I may be off on this one, but steel core ammo has a steel rod inside a lead bullet with a copper jacket, which is different from steel jacketed ammo which uses a very mild steel jacket instead of copper. If I'm off I'm sure someone who knows more will correct me.

Aside from the incendiary mentioned, you can shoot whatever you want at Chabot so far as steel copper is concerned.
