    Best 14.5" Upper Receiver?

Looking for the best 14.5" upper receiver that I can install a URX 3.1 on. I knowth KAC 14.5 SBR is probably the holy grail but can't seem myself spending 2k when I can spend half and the other half on optics so I'm looking for the next best thing and need your help.

I love BCM, which upper from BCM would be good. Looking at middy not carbine, but there's so many uppers at BCM nowadays lol.

Check out the Noveske Afghan 14.5 middy. Would look really good with a KAC URX rail I'm sure.

"Best" and "can't see myself spending" do not really go together. If you are looking for second best, Noveske is probably the answer. I myself am building an upper with a KAC URX 3.1 13.5" over a Noveske Recon match 16" SS barrel and matted to a Noveske Mur upper. I calculated my total to $1250 for the upper complete with a Young M16 BCG, BCM CH, Noveske marked FH and no sights. I did not calculate the cost of the special tool required to install the KAC rail but FYI it is expensive.

I have several 14.5" uppers with pinned flash hiders, the one I shoot best is the LMT.

Weird thing is, it's my only button rifled barrel and it was also the least expensive upper in my safe.

This one is slightly higher than 1K, but it's 100% KAC authentic. No need to get just the rail.

                          LMT gtg.
Seems to be the only "high end" brand keeping price point down.
I wish DD would do the same. I got my DDs for around 1k, v2, v5, v7

                            LMT, LWRC, Noveske, BCM.

I'm sure there are a few more smaller companies but those are the cookie boys.

I'm a big fan of LMT and Bravo Company. I just put a Bravo upper on my new build, and it is pretty amazing. Great accuracy, light weight, very high quality. I'll be sticking with BCM and LMT for all my future builds
