All I can do is shoot at ranges, either standing or sitting. The bb is perfect for that. It may be a few seconds slower then pushing the button but if your in one spot not moving whats the big deal. The bb keeps the rifle and the handling like its supposed to be. Without it I would blow through a ton of ammo alot quicker and at the cost I dont mind saving money while losing a few minutes changing mags. I cant find anywhere to be able to run and gun here in san diego, but even if I could I would still use the bb. I also use 10/30 mags, like to keep the rifle as authentic as I can have it here in Ca. I started out with the Bushmaster Carbon 15 sealed, that was just crazy to use. If there was ever a problem in the mag or jam I would be screwed, so I gutted it out and put in a bb. Of course after all this I learned about oll, will do that when im ready to get another rifle. Funny thing I had modified the bb the height of it, made it shorter and now it looks like they sell it that way. I really like it, its a great product.

All my AR rifles have bullet buttons. I just wear one of these and drop mags with my fingertip "tool":

        You can get these here:

As for my AK, I have tried out all the available mag locks and had settled on the jumbopanda with 10/30 mags for the past several months. I have a box of 30 rd mags that I bought in the 90s so I decided to take the plunge and try out the MMG. It's a little odd at first and not so pretty BUT the option of using my 30 rd mags and dropping them quickly is priceless. I can transition back to the jumbopanda lock and 10/30 mags in about 2 minutes if I want.
