    Winchester Trapper 44mag ?

Hi, Kind of new to Calguns, great site! Need info on this rifle, I've search the archive (maybe not well enough) but no luck, is it possible to use a
a 44 cartridge not a mag on this trapper or would it jam, any info would be appreciated. Thanks you

By "44 cartridge" do you mean .44 Special?

Thanks for the response,Yes I meant a 44 special. Don't want to experiment with live rounds and don't want to waste money for dummy rounds but it might be the only way to do this safely. You might be wondering why I would want to do this?... cost, just want to plink at the range and for some reason I need to use the trapper and 44 special is the only thing available nice to know I can use it. Thanks again.

.44 specials feed just fine in mine. Just remember to use flat nose bullets.

Thanks Tunder, will try it out this weekend. Any particular brand of .44 special that works well with the trapper.
