Yeah, not legal in CA for a few reasons, but the main question I got was "Why?"

Now I have figured out the "why".

To have a silenced pistol you can aim with the rest of the rifle, using the rifle's optics or iron sights, without compromising the battle worthiness of the rifle. I figure if you are going to lug both a pistol and a rifle it would be OK to add the mass to the rifle, since heavier is better for everything but carrying long distances.

I figure a silenced pistol for anything beyond point blank isn't much good unless you can make a sure one shot one kill, and that is hard using just pistol sights and grip, so that option gets left behind.

Could also come in handy if your enemy thinks he can wait till you do a mag change for a free shot, if you keep one hand on pistol and do mag change with strong hand, or just as back up in case your rifle jams or you run out of rifle ammo but still need much better than you can normally do with a pistol accuracy. Only a few can do much with a pistol past 25 or 50yds.

Could also be used to draw out gullible enemy. He sees accurate but mostly spent 9mm slugs barely denting some stucco, not knowing you really got a scoped 308.

Don't fret, not likely to see light of day in real world, just my upcoming Zombies VS Mall Ninjas epic.

Even trying to hold a lightweight AR by the glock pistol grip without other support would probably snap the dust cover off.

No, not the 'dust cover' (is that the empty part behind the mag I referred to as the 'bunghole'?), but the much more burly flashlight rail.

But a Bunghole 2nd mounting point might help keep it from wiggling, but I still don't think I'll use it.

This is so dumb its awesome.

Just mount it via the slide so its a single shot suppressed pistol. Push the VFG forward to cycle the weapon. Detach to go full semiauto.

Yeah baby! I like the semi-weird diff of pushing the gun forward to cycle the action instead of traditional 'pull slide back'.

all about the Mall Ninja koolness

you seem to feel where I'm going with this

PS-WTF is "the VFG"? I plan to overload the script with so much weird gun slang it will need its own dictionary. Most terms will be at least semi-incorrect as "trolls" so people can't help but explain why it is wrong to others.

VFG, vertical fore-grip. In this case, the pistol grip.
