1st time AR build - look over my build?

Hey guys, finally jumping into the black rifle market and would like some constructive input. Since this is my first build, I guess I'd have to say my intent is really for something totally reliable and accurate (SHTF mode - god I'm getting sick of that moniker, but there it is) up to about 100yrds. At this point, I don't think it would real smart to go for all the bells and whistles, but I'd still like to have some options going forward w/o totally breaking the bank. So with that said, here's where I'm at:

High Standard OLL (already purchased at Bay Area Gun Vault)

    Option 1:
Complete High Standard (HSA-15 CARBINE A2 #HSTX6501) with all parts through BAGV (keep it local, support a great shop)
I'll just use the rear sights on the carry handle until I get some proficiency.
    Bullet Button
    Approx Cost $1000

    Option 2:
    High Standard Lower
Stag 2H Rifle Kit from AR15Sales
    Bullet Button
Whatever 10rnd mag that comes with the Stag kit
    Approx Cost $875-$900

    Option 3:
    High Standard Lower
    Stag LPK
    Stag Carbine 6-pos Stock Assembly
YHM Carbine Lightweight AR-15 Top End (YHM-7100); 1/7 Twist (seems like a higher quality barrel)
    Bullet Button
Magpul PMAG 10 Round 20 Body Magazine
    Approx Cost $1150-$1200

Does it make sense to go with Option 3, or use the little bit of money saved from going with options 1 or 2 and buy some ammo to hit the range with?

edit to add: I'm open to other suggestions, so don't be shy!

If 3 is what you want buy it now. Those spare parts you have after doing upgrades later are the spores that fester into black rifle disease! Otherwise the ammo will probably do you more good than a slightly more tacticool build would anyway. The only thing you really gain with option 3 from a paper punching standpoint (lets face it that about all any of us ever use these for anyway) is the free floating hand guard.

      Option Two from here

Would be 510$ for the kit plus $30 for the bb. 20$ for a C-Pro 10rd mag. 75$ for a rear sight.
      $635 shipped.

I have heard lots of good things about the YHM uppers, but have not had any hands on yet.
