Big agreement on G & R Tactical's LPK. Grant picks what he thinks are the best parts to create his kit(s). Some LMT parts, USGI, etc. I had zero problems with my recent build. The trigger is a standard USGI single stage and feels decent. It's being replaced by a Geissele SSA trigger, but there is a 4-5 month wait. So the single stage will be just fine for the time being...

I received a RRA 2-stage today and noticed the trigger guard wasn't in the parts envelope with everything else - it was on its own in the outermost envelope. I wonder if they had a run without the guard and then went back and tossed some in the kits that hadn't shipped out yet...

I forgot, Scott, what was your opinion of the Armalite tactical 2-stage vs. the RRA NM 2-stage? (for those unaware Armalite makes both a NM and a tactical 2-stage trigger).

Anyone else tried the Armalite tactical 2-stage and compared to the RRA?
The Tactical 2-Stage is the one that I've been raving about since I first put one in one of my M4's a couple of years ago. It was almost by accident. I went on ArmaLite's website to order a bunch of parts (I was already "hip" to the fact that their LPKs were always in-spec/top-tier - and I continue to use them exclusively to this day), and I ran across what I believe to be their first posting of LPKs w/ 2-stage "TAC" triggers. THEN, I saw the price. For roughly $20 more than a RRA NM trigger, I could get the "TAC" 2-stage PLUS a LPK! Anyway, this just happens to be one of those rare "gems" that sounds too good to be true...........but it is. These triggers SMOKE the RRA's NM. They seem to make the rifle "come alive." That was my impression upon my first test firing session with it. The feel is unmistakably double-stage, with very minimal creep. And when you break through that second stage, it's not the cliche' "breaking glass," but more of a modernized, more-precise K98 Mauser military 2-stage, clean/crisp break. I really have not been able to do it justice in my explanation(s). It's one of those things that has a bit of "black magick" built-in. Like, they just stumbled upon a certain combo of "right" + "right" and decided to make it affordable. I know, in this day & age, THAT sounds absurd. Put it this way: just go get one and see if you don't agree with me. If you don't like it, I'll buy it from you to go with the 4 kits that I have in my shop already!!!!! Oh, and did I mention that they come in a VERY cool, O.D. steel-hinged plastic box w/ the ARMALITE logo on it????

Anyway, guyz, here are some photos for the "uninitiated:"

Here's some of my "stash:" (hehehehe.......)

And, here's what you can expect to get for the price (+$20) of a RRA NM TRIGGER:

The ArmaLite selector switch is cosmetically unique, too, as you can see by the "V" cut on the right side (instead of the usually-seen "straight-line cut:

And here is the 2-Stage Tactical Trigger in all its glory:

In the rear view of the 2nd pic, notice the spring has a "u"-shaped extension that is sitting on the top 1st (of 3) "step ladder notches" machined into the back of the trigger assembly. These are to adjust trigger pull weights. They come factory-set (like this one) @ the lightest setting. 2-3 lbs., IIRC. OH!!! And look at the uber-cool "paperweight" they threw in to my last order, either to thank me for buying $720 in LPK's (or because they F***ED UP!!!!:

Yes, it's an actual A2 upper receiver blank forging!!! (I believe they actually sell these for about $20.00 on their website now. Well, hope y'all enjoyed. Give some feedback if any of you end up going with these!

Any chance you can get a shot of the armalite bolt catch/release for me? I saw a pic floating around a while back but have been searching for almost 20 minutes with no luck of finding it.
