Need advice for a good FF RAS!

I'm building a carbine AR and I was looking into a couple free float handguards from various manufacturers. Just wondering what peoples' opinions on them are, and if one is clearly superior/inferior to the rest.

    Daniel Defense: M4 Rail 7.0

LaRue Tactical: LaRue Tactical 7.0" Handguard

Knight's Armament Company: M4 Carbine RAS

    Thanks for any advice!

The DD and LaRue rails are top-tier products. You can't go wrong with either of those manufacturers.

The KAC M4 RAS is not a free-float rail.

The KAC RAS is free float.

I know what you're thinking of, but this is different.

Take into the account the level of difficulty in installing each one. It may be easy for some but harder for others. What I define as easy in terms of FF rails is where you do not have to remove the front sight. The ones I looked into for ease of installation are the DD Omega rails, and to a lesser extent Troy MRF rails (you have to dremel off the delta nut and spring).

Go with the LaRue FF. Very easy to install and the best quality. Order directly from LaRue for the extra free goodies he throws in.

Why not getting DD Omega? It's darn easy to install without removing FSB or BBL. And it's free-float.

I would say larue hands down..I have been nothing but happy with their FF...But you would not go wrong with the DD either and the omega makes it way to easy to install..

The DD and the LaRue are of equal quality.
The DD is lighter and has an arguably more ergonomic "oval" shaped design.
The LaRue has an anti-rotational lock and a sling mount.

The FF Carbine RAS is an out of date design if you go by KAC's product line, their most advanced rail right now is the URX II.

The larue also has a slightly oval profile

Any opinions on the Midwest Industries ones?

I love my LaRue and wont go with anything else on my next builds . Excellent quality and i love the fact that it says "LIVE FREE OR DIE" on it.
