PSA Rifle Kit - Quality ???'s

Last year I gave my son a stripped Anderson lower for Christmas. He's been saving his money to complete the build and just e-mailed me that he just bought This PSA Premium Rifle Kit. I have very little to no hands on experience with this platform, so I would appreciate any comments you might have on the kit's quality (or possible "must have" upgrades he needs. Does he need anything other than a bullet button and some 10rd Mags and some ammo? I was thinking on going to the O.C. Gun Show this weekend (entertainment purposes ). If I happen to run across anything he needs, I might pick it up for him, if it's a scream'in deal (unlikely). If not, I'll go online (I know, cheaper, lol)

Anyway, any thoughts on the kit he bought? Thanks for the feed-back.

It's good enough. There's worse kits for more money out there.

Buy it. Only thing it needs is a rear sight

I have PSA uppers and it functions just the same and eats the same that my Armalite upper will. It's a good upper and I will buy more as deals come.

Magpul flip up rear sight will work with this. Then down the road do what I did to mine, find deals on Magpul furniture. Really makes the rifle look much nicer.

Thank guys. I was wondering about a rear sight. Right on about the Magpul furniture. He really wanted FDE and a 4quad-rail handguard, but settled on this kit. Patience is not necessarily a virture on a first build (excited), lol.

Good to go! I bought that very kit last year in November, I have a little over 500 trouble free rounds through it. I added a carry handle rear sight and that was it.
Now I have to finish up my 80% lower to mount up a PSA upper(stainless mock dissipator) I bought the beginning of the month!

The Premium PSA kits are really good kits. I got this upper assembly and I couldn't be happier.

Put it on a PSA lower I built and the rifle has been flawless through 500 rounds so far. I really like the Rifle length gas system.

The kit you show is the premium kit and it is GTG.

If it is one of the PSA uppers with a FN barrel you really couldn't ask for better unless you are building a precision gun or the like.

OP, if we're talking stocking stuffers then the BB, mags and rear sight would be nice, maybe a sling and a case of ammo

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Looks like that's what it has....

^^^ This, unfortunately . I'm definitely picking one up for him tomorrow since he forgot to order one when he bought the kit.

They are fine, just stay away from the PTAC ones.
