    EMOD check weld build up?

Anyone try or know of a good way to build up the check weld on an EMOD?. Really don't want to get a whole new stock if I don't have to.

    TIA

Why do you want a riser on your stock? You may have trouble using your charging handle...

BTW, cheek weld is the name for consistent positioning of your head on the rifle to get a good sight picture each and every time.

To answer your question, you could get a stock pack. I got mine from Triadtactical but it's on a regular stock, never tried it on an AR15 collapsible stock.

You could also build something up with some kind of tape and either foam, cardboard, newspaper, strips of plastic, etc. Or use the stick on foam strips, or make something that attaches with velcro...

I'll trade you a Magpul ACS for you E-mod straight up if you want.

I think the cheek weld on the Emod is perfect. What issues are you having with it?

My scope mount, Vortex 3", is too tall for a good check rest (even my old was too). I can build it up with a removable rest but I am just wondering if anyone else has done... no need to totally reinvent the wheel.

Something like the Magpul PRS would be nice but no where near being in the budget anytime soon. Not sure about a shorter mount is even do able
