    American Spirt Arms?

I recently ordered a A2 upper receiver with M4 feed ramps from American Spirit Arms.

This is what I ordered: http://www.americanspiritarms.com/up...pper-receiver/

Today I received a RRA a2 upper with no feed ramps? Needless to say I'm not happy.

Does anyone have any experience purchasing from this company?

American Spirit Rams was very questionable under the former owner. They have made some changes. Surprised that they would have RRA stuff as they are a different manufacturer. They could be supplying RRA also. Usually A2;s do not have m4 cuts. Surprised they are advertised with them.

I dealt with them a few years back when I lived in Az. I don't think I would ever deal with them again.

The former owner, Bob, had a reputation of going-off on customers when the called him with issues...of which there were many. His crap attitude with customer service was overshadowed by many idiots slobbering over his daughter...imo, a little piglet.

ASA was correctly judged to be in the same class as Hesse/Vulcan/Blackthorne, Special Weapons, Coharie, Entreprise, etc.

Not sure if they're generally better now or not...couldn't have gotten worse.

You might dig around arfcom for current attitudes.

I have one of their side-charging uppers for over a year now and haven't had any issues at all.

I remember way back, in 1999 going to Oceanside and the Pomona gunshows, buying there products. I was only 12 but there products where good quality. I bought a pencil barreled upper from Sarah? I still have it and it shoots nice, of course it has moved to an OLL as my mom didn't understand the laws at the time, and couldn't register the lower to me. I also run a 9mm upper I bought in Phoenix at the show once pomona died. It's been a reliable gun, but the guy that sold it to me had an attitude while I was haggling with the price, I always thought that gunshows where there to haggle?

                        Sara, I think.

They're on the Industry section in arfcom... http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_2/274_A...irit_Arms.html

A bit about the previous incarnation of ASA... http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=429774

I also bought a ASA 24" upper from the Great West Gun Shows back around 2002-2003 from the Cow Palace gun shows. Sara was there (wasn't she the one with the Aussie accent??!!) and they even had a pretty decent and slick catalog back in the day (I think I still have it somewhere). It shot well, and pretty good for an upper *back in the day*. I even bought their CNC'd 1" scope mount!! I hate to say it, but I actually still have and use their nylon mesh brass catcher and it works great. Never was really impressed with the customer service when I called and I thought they went out of business. At any rate, I would rank them 6.0 out of 10. LMT and Larue and never looked back.

                            Definitely a UK-ish accent...could have been Aussie.

She later began breaking her scale.
