    PSA PA-10 feedback. Accuracy? Weight?

I posted this in the PSA vendor page but haven't seen any responses so thought if post it here too.

I'm a big psa fan (own 2 complete uppers that I'm happy with as well as have bought numerous other items) and I've been interested in the PA-10s since I first saw them realesed but can't believe I haven't found a single range report yet!!!!!

Does anyone have any experience or info on these???? Anyone have any feedback on these? Anyone hear any reports of their accuracy?

PSA???? I'd assume you have the weight of it. Do you have any expectations of the accuracy? What have you seen in testing? Any differences between the standard profile or 16" barrel versions?

    Thanks!

    I'm interested as well.
The only thing I've read is the upper is a little off if you want to match to a DPMS lower. Don't know if that will change (I have an 80% DPMS lower) or are they going to remain exclusively PSA.
Sorry for no help but they are cheap enough to wait and see.

Sounds like it's proprietary that's for sure.

it may have asked/mentioned before (but I haven't read it)... I'm starting to wonder if PSA is using the same source as S&W for the M&P10?... it also uses DPMS style mags, but not much else is compatible (barrel/nut, BCG, upper to lower?)...

Sounds like PA-10 has the same compatibility problem that M&P10 does...

FYI Palmetto state PA-10 won't work with Geissele triggers.

                    U sure about that?

The trigger they sent with their build kit is just a basic small pin single stage mil-spec trigger. Nothing different about it.

The upper does fit on a DPMS lower, but the height to rail is lower on the PSAs.
The PSAs seem to use the DPMS gen II lo-height rail, and most of the rest of the world uses DPMS LR-308.
This is where I ran into my problem with my build.

The PSA stuff looks fine, and if I can get my dad home from the hospital I will be shooting it in the near future.
As far as function checks sitting at the couch it seems the chamber is a little tight at the moment, but if one lets the charging handle go, and doesn't ride it home to battery it closes fine. That will wear in soon, otherwise someone will be getting reamed.

Other than that, the takedown/pivot pins were too short to use for my billet lower I built and the Bolt catch seemed to be proprietary, as when I installed a different one (DPMS) it worked fine, while the PSA bolt catch wouldn't work wit my Tactical Machine lower.

My impression is this of the PSA stuff.

Heck, I paid $600 for a kit, minus stripped lower. That is cheap.

However, I ended up buying a new upper and lower receiver to make things work out.
End all, I have about $900 into it. a few hundred more for the optics, buttstock, new FH, and grip, and I threw in a ALG combat trigger I had sitting around. With all that, as you see it I probably have $1500 into it - DROS and shipping included.
I will have to ceracote it as I kind of hodge-podged a few FDE parts and it is looking like some of my mom's paint's on her ranch at the moment.

As for weight. Built, with my Billet upper and lower (which is in all likelihood heavier) the rifle weighed 8lb, 9oz. Not awful. And a hell of a lot lighter than my FAL or my M1A for that matter.

As for PSA customer service/tech-support. It is neither ...

My advice, be patient, and understand you get lots of double talk on what fits what. Be prepared to waste a few bucks on stuff that doesn't fit.

                    You have been warned.

At any rate, here is mine, now that it is done.

I believe the issue with the triggers is strictly the SSA-E not working in the lower. The standard SSA works.

Regarding the Geissele trigger incompatibility, a little part of the hammer needs to be removed. Geissele customer service will do it for $10 to cover return shipping.

+ 1 thinking of going that route too.

You could get a LMT MWS and not have any of these problems
