ak47 underfolder options

I am looking for an Ak underfolder and looking for options. The only ones i can find are 500 dollar ak's with a UF stock on them for over 800. I don't want a cheap ak and pay 300 more just for a uf stock. How hard it it to build one? Can i buy a ready to go receiver and parts kit? How difficult is putting an AK together? I don't want to do a flat but might do a completely machined lower if you can buy those.

I have all of the above, but the one thing i don't have is the desire or patience to do all that. So i guess i have my answer, lol

Build parties are gone...but here is a sticky that will give you an idea of what it takes to build an AKM, it ain't like assembling an AR. If you buy a Nodak spud 100% receiver you eliminate bending the flat and spot welding the rails but everything else is the same.

Those McKay receivers are on sale at a bunch of retailers.

But pretty sure you would have to mill out the spot for the UF trunnion.

I've built a bunch of AKMs but I would not waste my time trying to make the necessary cuts to convert that to an underfolder, it is hardened and would be a PITA, pony up and buy the correct underfolder receiver or buy a complete Underfolder if you don't have what it takes to build from a flat.

I think I am handy with my hands too, and have built 3 AK's from kits with help of some really good coaches; but left to my own, I might get into trouble with the build sooner or later.

Have you looked into J&G Sales? Not sure what their firearms shipping policy is to CA, but it's worth checking. Or you can have it shipped to guys outside of CA like audiophil2 or Table Rock Arms.

Yup, already tired them, they will not make it compliant. I guess I am stuck with Atlantic. Dammit, the npap UF was on sale a week ago and i didnt pull the trigger. May I'll see if they go on sale black friday, which is right around the corner.

nothing at all and thats what i will be ordering. But because of the comi state we live in, everything is twice as much. I was trying to get a better deal. OTD to me is 813, not the 589 as advertised because i have to add a 45 dollar BB and a barrel extension 35 and shipping 30 and tax 56 and dealer fees 60. Its not as simple to me. If i could buy them for 589 i would buy 6, but i can't.

JG sales is in Arizona. If you really want one drive there, plunk your money down and install the muzzle extension and mag lock yourself. Then have it shipped to your FFL.

I have actually (2) underfolders, weird @#$ cheek weld, unless you are looking for a truck gun...I just bought them for #$%s and giggles and on a whim...
