599.00 is still too high. I remember four years ago I bought them for 299.99 yes no joke we were all buying them. I still see a few in norcal shops for 599.99 then I see some in shops for 799.99.

If I were buying right not it wouldn't be a Saiga. We've all heard this before time and time again.
I did buy a 12 a few weeks ago but it was used and a good price plus no tax because it was used.

I don't care if some guy makes 100.00 on a gun. Heck I'm seeing dealers mark them up and it's shop to shop. That said I can see those guns sitting until the drama gets sorted.

the days of $299 Saigas are never coming back. (at least as long as our current govt remains) so just get used to paying more for 'foreign assault rifles' lol

Ya they used to be half the price of what they go for now. But people blabbed and others wanted them and so demand increased. Plus the govt is always gonna try to restrict gun ownership by any guise possible as Obamas recent 'sanctions' so vividly demonstrated. In the context of the price of Saigas, it means the supply was decreased. So with supply down and demand up, price is going to go up and stay up because neither of those 2 factors is going to change anytime soon. If you dont like it, dont buy one.

Forget those flippers. especially that one guy that thought he could get almost 2000 for it in this market place. They're coming back and they're coming back at a reasonable prices.

Flipping is buying and selling at a higher price. I respect the capitalist initiate of those that can make money doing it. Buying and then pricing so high you can't sell isn't flipping. That is just buying.

There is a capitalist / capitalism aspect of it and then there is the being an ###hole aspect of it. The two often co-exist

Does that mean they are now being imported again? Or is that coming soon still?

Maybe. They are trying to sell the company to get around the sanctions.

no they are not banned. nothing is "banned" there was only sanctions put on kalashnikov concern and since there is no more KC then the new owners of of siaga and molot can now sell freely to the us again.

You can't deny people from making money. People will figure out a way to make money. Basically the Russians shuffled around some paper work and continue to take our money.

The lesson here is to never panic buy. A lot of people are going to be stuck with Saigas they overpaid for. $800 is just crazy especially when an Arsenal SLR can be ad for about $1,000 in a free state.
