My Stainless and Blue MINI 14's!!!!

Decided to run a course at a local police range with my MIni 14's.

    Just to see .

I used my Blue and Stainless NEW models with regular wood stocks, factory sights and factory 20 and 30 round magazines.

Guns were unmodified in any way and almost new.

I used Federal AM 55 grain and 62 grain LE ammo.

They ran 100%. I cant say anything negative.

Shot on the move, prone, kneeling , standing, rapid fire etc.

They are keepers! may pick up another one just to have.

I have a soft spot for mini's - always wanted a GB series. Sounds like you did well

Cops in Cali would freak if they saw me at a range there with mine

It runs 100%, always has since day 1.
I find it much easier to use on run and gun courses than any of my ARs.
        It just feels right.

Just bought a brand new Mini-14 Ranch Rifle, stainless, with black synthetic stock. Can't wait to start burning ammo. I'm thinking I might put a red dot or holo on this rifle.

dude that's absolutely sick! I always thought mini's looked better with the AC556 style folding stock than the fixed stock.

My 580-series Mini-14 Ranch Rifle, stainless, with a Burris Euro Diamond 1-4x (Burris has discontinued this line of scopes, but they have others that I think are equivalent). For those of you who may be out of date with Ruger's improvements to the Mini-14, the first thing to note if you see one in a gun shop is the barrel contour, which is pretty obvious in this picture. It's a great rifle, accurate enough and much better than the older ones; I'm a fan of this rifle and its various versions, although this is the only one I own at present.

Next perhaps we can rehabilitate the pre-580 series Mini 14s and bring them into acceptance by the AR and AK crowd.

I enjoy my new SS Ranch Rifle! I want to work on getting a blued 16" tactical model though to go along with it.
