    What length of handguard?

    Hello all,

I am working to finish the parts-gathering for the Seekins build I'm planning, and need some recommendations/opinions...

I like the look where the handguard covers pretty much the entire barrel, leaving only the muzzle accessory (brake, flash hider, etc.) showing. I'm planning to use as many Seekins parts as possible, which means I'm looking at the 16" Seekins barrel to go with the Seekins IRMT-3 upper. Do you guys think the 15" Seekins handguard will achieve the look I'm after?

I'm searched for pics everywhere, and on several I really question whether the pictures really represent the actual length of parts listed (this is including what is on Seekins' own website), so I'm asking here.

Thanks in advance for your comments/recommendations.

If you like the look of only the flash hider is sticking out then 15 will be perfect.

I have a 13" on my 9mm.I like it and got a good deal on it.
        I wanted a 15" though.
I can post a picture later if you like.

I'll do the 15" rail then. I want to build this one for possible 3 gun use.

I just wanted to verify, since logic would dictate that a 15" rail on a 16" barrel would leave 1" of barrel exposed, but I guess manufacturers count the extension when they measure the barrel length, or am I way off?

There's some barrel hidden by the muzzle device as well.

I like the look of 15" hand guards on my AR.

I have 15" GatorGrips on a couple of my 16" uppers, there is maybe 1/2" of barrel exposed behind the flash hiders:

Op, we have similar taste. Like you, I like the rail to cover the entire length of the barrel. Ive looked at the seekins and like them but parts are hard to come by. The longest 1 piece handguard Ive found is by Odin Works that is 15.5". Although I havent bought it yet, I think it looks pretty good with the kmod setup. . Check them out, its a bit longer so you might like it.
