About to finish my very first build. .223 wylde, 1:9 16" barrel. Will be using for mostly plinking, maybe 200yds max. I'll probably end up buying different grain ammo to see what it likes best, but any suggestions from y'all would be GREATLY appreciated!

My Lilja has a Wylde chamber but it is a 1:8" twist, it is very accurate with 77gr SMK loads.
Your barrel is a 1:9" which might be a little bit slow for such a long bullet, I wouldn't know because I've never owned a barrel wih that twist. -
1:9 is good with the lighter stuff.. which Is also the cheaper stuff... nothin wrong with that! I'd stock up on 55gr.Comment

A 16" 1:9 twist 223/5.56 barrel should shoot the 68gr and 69gr BTHP bullets very nicely.Randall Rausch

Mine's a 1:9 twist barrel chambered for 5.56mm (Windham Weaponry MPC CA), it seems to do ok with 55grn .223 rem. For some reasons, I seems to get better groups with .223 than 5.56 ammo, but my tests are not scientific or even systematic. I simply bought whatever is cheapest and available, and it so happens that 55grn .223rem tend to be cheapest so I shot a lot more of those.Comment
