POF .308 16.5" vs M1A standard 22"

Just trying to get some opinions on the two different options! I'm debating selling my SA M1A for a POF.. Just trying to find what people think! Either keep the M1A or get the POF. Let me know what you think. Thank you

Another option: Install a 16.25" barrel on the M1A, I think there are 3 sources now.

What are you trying to do with it?
They both shoot a .308 projectile, so without knowing what your goal is, it's hard to answer.

What kind of shooting do you prefer to do? What would the POF get you that the M1A doesn't?

Both platforms have their merits. The M1A should be good to go. If you get the POF then you need to get optics for it and unless you have the cash on hand to pay the difference, I don't think that selling your M1A is going to pay for the POF.

Medium-Long range shooting Bench work. I don't shoot to much maybe 2 times a month. There's just a good deal on POF's right.

I like that idea! I just like the ar platform.. So that's why this deal had me thinking

The only reason to go M1A over AR10 in CA is if you have USGI 20rd mags from back in the day. If you want a deal on a POF PM me there's a couple places I've been looking where the gen3 models are cheap.
