Thats crazy, considering they are required by law to do so.

      Hello,

If you by chance remember, please let me know who you spoke with, and I will clarify with that employee. PPTs are done seven days a week, as long as you make it in half hour before closing so that we can get out of the store at a decent hour. We are understaffed at the moment, but are working to get that remedied ASAP.

Our official grand opening date is the 26th, and are open to do PPTs.

      An anti gun, gun store.
Since we are taking firearms in for trade, consignment, and purchasing them, we ask that all firearms be checked at the front door unless LEO. There is no such sign that exists saying we do not allow weapons.

When I was preparing to leave and do the PPT, I called them to confirm that this would be facilitated, that was when I was told that it would not happen. I was told by the clerk at the gun counter that they were understaffed. I am 100% certain that this would not be the case and staffing would be adequate if I were purchasing an item from their inventory. I had to call the other party involved in the sale and we had to scramble to make other arrangements which are farther out of the way for both of us. This has to be done on a Sunday due to my current work obligations and most FFLs are closed then.

      My guess is that
I have discussed with our staff to give fair warning that a private party transfer may take longer than usual if we are both busy and shorthanded, but never to turn them away. I will speak with everyone at the front counter and make necessary changes. If I can be of any other help, please feel free to send me a PM!

Too bad I don't live closer to Dublin. I would consider going to GFOS if the store in Vaca had at least someone willing to come on a forum and try to fix things. If they have ever been on Calguns I've never seen em.

This was why my first response was to hit up Jerry because he's shown in other threads that he's hands on. Keep it up Jerry.

Well, based on this response, I am gonna go in and ask for him. I will shake his hand and buy a box of ammo based on his stand up guy mentality here.

Turners has the same basic sign and I've seen similar in independent stores as well.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Jerry, I wish you well in Dublin. But you should have opened under a different name. Due to the poor, crappy, lack of customer service bastards in the Vacaville store I would never walk into your place blind. The Vacaville store is about the worst gun shop in Northern Calif. Too bad, they are in my town and I refuse to support them.

                Again, good luck to you.

I decided to register under the company name specifically to address any potential issues that may arise. We are all new hires independent from the Vacaville store, and with that, we will run into problems a new store will have. I just want to make sure that these problems are handled with the proper customer care they deserve.

Thanks! I try, but between school, work, baby & wife, and HUNTING, it's tough. =)

Feel free to ask for me, I'm typically running around the store or helping customers with more specific questions.

This is for our safety, people come in with guns all the time for various reasons. We just want to make sure it's done safely for everyone.

I can appreciate the feedback, and with our changes and different mentality, maybe things will change over there. I have bottles of glass/counter cleaner behind the counters, and I have told my employees that if they aren't actively looking to assist customers, the alternative is to clean. They seem to all rather speak to customers. =)
