PSA poor selection?

So I'm in the market for an AR upper. I haven't looked at PSA's selection in over a year, but just went to their site and found very little in the way of complete uppers. Is it just my poor memory, or is their stock lacking in comparison to a year ago?

They could be out of stock on items. Last time I looked , they had many in stock.

Seems typical for me. A year ago, we were still in a huge buying rush & dealing with SB374 so if anything selection everywhere is better now than back then.

They sell in batches.

I do not think they carry a normal stock.

They get a "deal" from their suppliers and sell just that item until they get enough orders to meet their contract order, then order it. Then the final product gets shipped out.

That's probably why they take so long to ship for some, and so short for others. Depends when in their cycle you order.

I just ordered this from them last Friday and it was shipped yesterday and should be here by next Tuesday.

PSA has always been hit or miss for me. Occasionally I will hit on exactly what I want but there is a lot of looky-looing to see what's there.

Did you peruse the deals section in the market place? I have found leads there to sites that I never even heard of.

That's a great deal for a CHF barreled upper with BCG and CH.

You buy from PSA when you want something cheap but don't need it quickly. You need wait for the stuff you want to be in stock and have money ready to buy. I got exactly what I wanted from PSA at the price I wanted but I waited a few week for it to show up.

If you want instant gratification you pay for it at Riflegear or many other retailers that will ship out the same day but charge you more for the service.

You might be looking in Daily Deals (front page). If you go to ar15/barreled uppers, you will have a choice of 16 different configurations. I assume it's enough to make a selection, unless you are after something really special. I am keeping my eye on PSA 20" SS CHF 223 Wylde Rifle Gas, hoping to see it below $500 on a sale

Makes sense, I'm just somewhat picky so I suppose I'll have to be patient and wait for the right one.

I do. But PSA offers the most bang for your buck, IMO.

Two orders in the last week. Both shipped quickly.

Order 1 - placed 11am on 9/4 - shipped on 9/8 - delivered on 9/10

Order 2 - placed 9am on 9/6 - shipped on 9/10 - scheduled for arrival on 9/12

BCM is on sale with free BCG's, might want to look at those.

I love the quality and reliability. It isn't that much more.

They definitely used to offer a lot more. Not always all in stock but the options were more plentiful. They're still an awesome deal if you find what you want.
