Cool little testing. But very subjective.

Brown bear is very inconsistent in powder charges so that's a HUGE variable in this test, not to mention the slide table is kind of half azzed. Either way best head to head brake test I've seen so far. Pretty cool. Would love to see it done on a more scientific controlled scale with better ammo tho.

That's some BS with Gissle tho. Kind of makes me rethink their business and product.

The TTAG link isn't working for me. For what it's worth, I recently started using the Wilson Combat rapid thread brake and muzzle brake blast diverter, a muzzle device that I've yet to see reviewed by any notable reviewers. However, it looks pretty similar in form and function to the Surefire micro can reviewed in the vuurwapen link. The blast diverter slides over and screws directly onto the WC rapid thread brake, it definitely doesn't reduce sound to safe levels but there is a huge difference between using the brake with and without the blast diverter attached in the concussion and sound felt by the shooter. With the right ammo, it also can create a fireball similar to the one seen in the vuurwapen picture (below).

And now it gets even more interesting:

Some of you may have seen the original version of my 5.56 Muzzle Device Shootout. I didn’t include ALG’s Single Chamber Brake (SCB) in the recoil measurement testing. I kept the SCB out of the recoil test because ALG lent the device to me as part of their testing & evaluations program, which was mentioned in the article. My interpretation of their program’s policy: no comparos. After my article was published, it became clear that leaving out the ALG Single Chamber Brake – supposedly at at the company’s request – was a huge issue. All hell broke loose . . .
I still love ALGs trigger. Would try their comp too... if I had a build to put it on.

I think if you hit youtube there is a comparison with the surefire it was coped from.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

Negative, the point of the article was to cover comps that are less known, thus "big dogs" are not represented. I know you want the dragon comp though, ha... ah, who am I kidding, we all want it... with laser eyes!

There will be a part 2.. Even before this issue it was planned that the 2nd test would have more bigger names involved

The author of the article and uploader of the video said there would be in the youtube comments even before the snafu and the article being pulled:

                  Jeremy S.1 day ago

+Rumblestrip.NET It [referring to the ALG SCB] will be tested in the next muzzle device shootout, which will likely concentrate on the big name options.

hmm i wonder how well the wilson combat compares to the ferfrans CRD

It's a two-piece system like the ferfrans, but they do look a little different.
The ferfrans has lines of pinprick holes. According to the description here: http://www.armsunlimited.com/FERFRAN...m-p/mb-crd.htm
the holes are used to vent gas out the side in order to retain the compensator functionality.

The wilson is very simple in appearance, it's one solid piece that slides over and threads on top of the muzzle brake. Gas vents straight out the front, so you don't get any of the side blast or concussion that I imagine you would from the ferfrans CRD.
