A month or so ago. I mean, I'd try and talk him down but that's about 3000-4000 over priced but they arnt getting any easier to find, especially in CA. Check gun broker, find a middle man to ship it into CA

I'm not sure. I don't think it is but who knows. All I know is that the Russian tiger is not banned cause some ffl in northern cali is selling it with a bullet button installed but they want 9k for it which is ridiculously price gauging big timeComment

That is such a hard thing to put a number on given they don't get traded commonly. The CA factor just throws another wrench into the equation.
In Russia they go for under 2k..
P.S. if you can talk to the dealer face to face and want to guage what he will really sell the Tigr for try this:
Offer him a trade (something fairly garden variety with a reasonable value) and then cash, buy make the cash some strange figure (like 5138.27). Of course, make it a figure that is close to what you would really be willing to offer.
If you do this quickly and in a matter of fact way a lot of people will get frustrated at trying to work out the trade value plus your odd ball number cash offer they will just jump to their bottom line, if not close to it.
Not exactly a new trick, but it still can work depending on execution and of course the dealer.Last edited by MrPlink; 03-11-2015, 9:50 PM.The California Moderate Centrist Militia member in exile

The coolest SVD I ever saw.... last year at a gun show in Clarksville, Tennessee. A seller had a PSL for sale on his table that I was checking out. He said, "You think that's cool? Well check this out!" He pulled out a beaten and battered scopeless SVD. No import marks, all matching numbers and beat to hell. He told me he got it off of his Special Forces buddy who brought it back from Afghanistan (illegally of course). That rifle was picked up from a dead Soviet in the 80's, then again picked up from a dead Taliban twenty five years later. I really wish I had that gun.Comment
