changing buffer tubes when switching barrels?

No need to change buffer tubes they work for both carbine and mid length. Only thing to worry about when switching barrels is to check headspacing. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria)" -
Both my rifles have carbine buffer tubes and buffer, although one is a middy and another a carbine, not needed I believe?NRA Lifetime MemberComment

This right here. Leave the buffer tube alone and get some headspace gauges or have a gunsmith check headspace before firing your rifle if switching out barrels.Comment
