well I've never shot my ar-15, I'm almost done building it. but from all my research the Pmag seems to be the best. I watched a bunch of videos on youtube testing different types of mags. there were a few that almost stood up to the same punishment but the pmag won over all. and they were running over them with a pick up truck, driving on top of them and flooring it then throwing it in their ar and shooting away.

The mags I use the most are Colt 20 rounders with the alloy followers. Doesn't get any better than that for HP competition. As far as the 30 rounders, I've got tons of Colts, Adventure Lines, and Okay Industries. They're all equally good.

about half of my mags are old charter industries mags (They suck)
I have repaired them with Cproducts mags and magpul followers and have had great success

Pmags and Lancers! I am surprised no one has mentioned Lancers yet...

Pmags are good, but be aware that they are VERY tight in certain brands of lowers. Most of the time the result is that the mags do not drop free, but sometimes they will not even fit.

Pmags used to be my favorite, they are now #2.
Cammenga's are the best mags available.

straight up GI issue ones are fine for every day use, but they are really pieces of junk. If the lips at the top get bent even a little, you are SOL. Pmags are the best IMO.

I have 2 Pro Mag 10/20s and 3 C Products 10s. Never had a feeding problem with any of them.

One of my pro mags was a bit hard to get out of the magwell, but I just squished it with some pliers and now it drops free no problem.
