Buy a decent quality dedicated upper and it will be the most fun ever from an ar platform.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

One of the reasons I love it so much is that it approximates my most loved platform, the AR. So, fire controls are in same spot. It breaks down and operates identical (other than bolt & buffer system). All of my picatinny gear swaps over and can swap over to the virtual same rails placements. So, you get to fire a weapon and build muscle memory for your more powerful counterpart.

As far as accuracy.. I have POV videos (I have a camera mount) of me shooting out to near 100 yards and being deadly accurate. That, for me, is plenty of accuracy for the outdoor areas I get to shoot. As well, it is awesome for doing drills and the lighter weight just makes it a joy to handle. And in CQB stuff, as accurate as anything out there.

ps - another great bonus on a dedicated 22lr.. 22lr rifle no need a bullet button so you can drop mags! Love that.

That's what I carry around the property.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, but do it first.
