    AR Question

So I just pulled my AR out of the safe to prep it for some shooting today, when I noticed something about the rear sight base.

It's loose, and pointing left. I can grab the rear sight 'ears' and turn them to the right, but the second I let go the ears go back to pointing left.

IS this normal or am I going to have to send the upper back to fulton and have them fix it(warranty)

it's normal.... there is a little spring and ball detent the is pushing the sight base. some match rear sights either are a file to fit or are modified to have a ball and spring on both sides.. bit for a regular AR type it ok and normal

As stated above it normal but I have found that some turn more than others depending on the manufacturer. My DPMS rear sight does not turn as much as a few other "brands" I have looked at. This is just my observation though. It probably does not mean anything as far as how the sight functions.

Mine does that too, me and some other people once plinked away at a clay pigeon 100 yards away with handguns, scoped rifles, red-dot equipped rifles; and I took the target out with my "AR" in one shot with the A2 irons!

So, I'm not concerned about it.
