Since the picture I added a CMC flat single stage trigger module.

Nice rifle, Kes. How does it shoot?

I was planning on it. It seems like the SSA-E would work best but $200 is a lot of money to drop without knowing how it feels.

The SSA-E is their basic trigger in my opinion. If you go Geissele pony up the extra 30-40$ for something a little nicer.
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

        Which would you recommend?

The G2S is Geissele's basic trigger, the SSA is their two stage combat and the SSA-E is their enhanced SSA. I've shot their match triggers and for my needs it wasn't for me. If the OP is going for a true bench rifle maybe he should consider the match line. If he is looking for a true SPR, than I would go with the SSA-E. My SPR with a SSA-E can produce 1/4 MOA groups, so I'm glad I went with it.

          5 shots at a 100 yards

Based on your explanation, and results, it looks like the SSA-E is what I should get. I don't shoot matches, yet, but want a trigger that fits the quality of the rest of the rifle.

I have the SSA-E on one of my guns and it might be a little too light for a field rifle. For a bench gun it's great. I have a G2S on another one and it's a bit better for something you're moving with. I think the SSA is supposed to be the same weight as the G2S but a bit nicer (and more expensive).

I'm considering building an SPR-ish rifle in the not too distant future. Not at all a real SPR, but probably something 18", rifle gassed, rifle stocked, with an optic.

I won't be lugging this thing around. It will mostly be a bench gun at the range or prone shooting when I'm on BLM land.
