I can shoot a better group with a good set of iron sites than I can with a crappy magnified optic. Iron sights are typically much more durable and won't loose their zero as easily either. But, as I get older, I find that my eyes just aren't as good anymore and for over 400 yards, I tend to go with optics now. The fact that you outright disagree with the OP's overly broad statement without any clarification of which irons or optics you're referring, under what conditions and for what purpose is why I called you blissful. Now back to the math humor.
