My friend has installed a Redfield Revolution 3-9X40 Accu Range (67095) using 1" Rock River Arms Cantilever scope mount. However, there is approximately 1/8" gap between the upper and lower part of the mount. Is this normal, is the mount not the right size for the scope, or what? Any input will be appreciated. Here are some pictures:

Looks good to go there is always some gap but it should always be the same on all sides or you didn't torque down the rings correctly.Last edited by TruEdge; 08-05-2014, 11:12 PM.The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria)"Comment
