    AR-15 Lower question.

    Noob question.

Why is my AR pistol lower different from my AR rifle lower?

Different manufacturers? As far as function, fit and parts goes they will be the same. Not sure why the cut is different but like I was leaning towards I would imagine they are 2 different manufacturers.
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria)"

Different manufactures. Looking into 80% lowers showed me this as well. Not sure the reason but some manufactures prefer to make thinner walls than others. As far as there being a benefit to the thicker vs thinner I havnt a clue but know some manufactures has wall variances per company.

Mostly seen in the polymer community.

not sure why they hogged out the area over the safety unless it was just their signature move
