Can a person legally own a fully automatic weapon with an AW permit? Or is that not possible?

No, an AW permit is not for machine guns. That's a machine gun permit (good luck!) and Federal tax stamp. -

Sorry... My mistake. I meant like an M4 for an example. If owning one as is, no OLL, bullet buttons and what not. Is it possible to own the weapon as is with auto feature?Comment

Are you asking about a true M4? If so, M. Sage answered your question. Or are you talking about an "M4" style weapon that only shoots semi?sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Can? Yes. Likely? Not even close. Permits are essentially impossible unless you own a multi-mil film production company.
