Hey guys,
So my newly acquired M70 OPAP is great. Going to refinish the wood in a few days. My only complaint is that my bolt likes to catch open. If I pull the back the bolt carrier quickly, no catch. If I ease it back, it can get caught (seems like the actual bolt is on top of the hammer).
I'm not sure what the cause for this is. First thought was that my hammer wasn't down all the way because I can push it down a little further when cocked, but I don't think that's it. Tried lubing everything and still can catch. The bolt isn't by any means "safely" caught, but can stay open on its own. A simple knock of the BCG will cause the bolt to close.
It likes to get stuck in one of two possible positions:
One with the bolt all the way back (pic 1), and another with the bolt stopping directly above the back of the magwell (pics 2 & 3).
Any ideas?
