Featureless ?

Going featureless with an AK. Ordered a new grip and wrap for it. It has a suppressor, so I'm taking that off. Barrel is threaded. I'm wondering if every muzzle device is considered "evil". Does the end of tge rifle have to be smooth or ? Some are labeled suppressor, some labeled compensator, and some labeled as both. What can I screw onto the end of my rifle and be legal? Don't want to just leave the threaded portion exposed. Any help greatly appreciated.

Get a barrel nut. But, I'm not sure if that still falls under muzzle device.

Chewy is playing with you. Are you sure you have a real suppressor and not a barrel shroud? BIG difference.

Just use a comp. or a brake. One of the better brakes is the simple slant brake. They actually work better than some of the expensive boutique ones.

it might be a faux suppressor like this, all it does it just cover the barrel. if you want to remove it just add a barrel nut to protect the threads. you got pics ?

A barrel but would be fine too, I guess. I just want to put something on the end of the rifle so the threads aren't exposed.

If you take possession of the suppressor you might as well be taking possession of a machine gun. Suppressors are considered Title II weapons / NFA firearms. Doesn't matter if they are attached to anything or not. They have to be registered, they have to have a tax stamp, and they are illegal in CA except for LEO agencies or Class 3 FFLs as dealer samples only. Do yourself a favor, don't get anywhere near the suppressor, don't have it on your property, etc etc. It's a federal felony, punishable by a 10 year term, and a lifetime firearms ban.

See, I'm kinda new to rifles. So I guess I'm confused. It doesn't suppress sound like the "faux" suppressor in Chewys pic. Its a flash suppressor. I was under the understanding that to go featureless, I couldn't have a flash hider or a fore grip and then I was featureless with the wrap.

ahhhhh yeah your correct you cant have a flash suppressor on a featureless build.
