It would be a pain in the butt to operate the charging handle on that thing. They should put the HK21 charging handle on it.

a real one would be silly imho. the muzzle blast would be way too much.

btw, the SAS are much more likely to use the HK53 or HK33K. though the Diemaco C7 type rifles have always been a favourite.

Not so much these days, but in the 90s the 53s were still fairly popular. In fact I would say back then they were the most reliable short-barrel 5.56mm weapons in Western SOF hands. The 51 was cool, but stupid and never an actual HK weapon (usually a Vollmer or Fleming mod, if I recall). Too much blast and too much velocity degradation.
