I put in a "V" Instead of a widened square notch to give a better index point for precision shots if necessary. It's obvious that the eye is drawn better to the rounded corners. The bottom of the new notch isn't much wider than the stock notch but the top is about 3x as widen if I put the front sight in the middle it should still be capable of similar accuracy, im expecting, but it's so much quicker to get on target. I like it so far.

I always considered notches superior to squares or circles. I think it will be better.

Because lining up two parallel bars of light on either side of a square front post is quick, easy, and intuitive.

Different people like different sights.
