    Identify this AR-15 upper

    Can anyone identify the brand or provide any info on this upper?

    Looks to be a ~10.5" barrel or full 16" underneath with a fake suppressor perm attached.

    Thanks!

      Its a frankenupper, could be great quality or need work. You never know till you run it. Best thing about ARs is as long as the parts used are good quality, the rifle can be a great shooter. Any AR can be just as good as another.

      I love it when guys say things like BCM upper and YHM barrel or something like that...its NOT a BCM upper, its parts bought from BCM that you assembled.

        So what is a fair price to sell this quick on here?

        Recieved it from a friend and have no interest in it.

          $300, assembling it from parts would cost about $400, so it will sell fast for $300.

          upper = $90ish
          Barrel = $150ish
          fake can = $50ish
          Quad rail = $75ish
          Gas block /gas tube = $40ish

          BCG= $100ish

          go to Buds gunshop .com and look as the parts individually. That quad rail isnt a Seekins...I know it looks like one, but its not. It looks like a older YHM or MI or some unknown maker. Dont think its a $250 quad rail. The BCG needs to have certain marking on it to be worth more then $100 used.

                $300 as is without paperwork on the quad rail. Even if it looks like a high end one, that doesnt mean its NOT a clone of a high end one bought off E-bay.

                I can see the upper has a forge mark, so its a quality upper, so its not a made-in-chiina junk one. get a close up of the forge mark and look it up. It should be about $90-$120.

                The barrel can be standard or high end depending on markings... Since its hidden you have to say its a standard weapon grade worth about $120-$190

                The gas block and gas tube are also hidden so they could be cheap at $20 and $15 or high end @ $90 and $20

                The fake can has markings, I think it should say something like USN Cage code blah blah blah simulating a real Navy can. I have seen them sell for $40 to $90

                The barrel/gas system and who assembled it dictate the cost of an upper. If you dont get that barrel/gas system right, it will take a lot of work to get it running right.... unknown assembled uppers go for $250 to $400.

                Same with AKs in my book... guys asking $1200 for their home assembled AKs because a Russian or Bulgarian one goes for that much are kidding themselves. Sure if its a "collectable" that will never get shot who is going to know it's a jam-o-matic AK47...
