Need a little suggestion in a scope for a 5.56

I have a tack driver stainless steel AR 5.56 16" capable of sub MOA, even with non match ammo, such as M193. At 1st, I was using it with a 2 MOA red dot with 3x magnifier and getting 1 MOA. Now, as I'm getting older and my eyesight is getting worse, I'm looking to get a magnified scope with higher mag, such as 8-10x, in-order to drive it all in to the same hole(I hope). Asking for suggestion and recommendation, money is no object, as long as the scope is not over $1K, like to also have something that is considered as durable for both plinking and tactical.

So far, the only one I have come across is this for a fair price:
    NIKON M-223 BDC 600

As far as I can tell, it has the fine center cross hair for tack driving and to hold under/over if needed, but also has the BDC, not fine, but will do the job. Not sure about the tactile clicks of the knobs, are they tactile?

    Or

What other scopes would you recommended.

I already have a decent Leupold 3.5-10x Vari-X III LR tactical scope, that I was GONNA mount onto the 5.56, but I prefer to mount it on my new LR308 instead. Hence I'm looking for a new scope for my 5.56, something as light as possible, but durable, one that gives me more mag for better accuracy.

    Thanks

I have a m223 3-12x bdc in the wts section with and adm mount. It's a good little scope and is pretty crisp and bright. Make me an offer

I just ordered a nightforce nxs 3.5-15x to replace it.

For the price the nikon M series is nice. I also like the viper pst series which will run you around $800 for the scope. The viper hs series is pretty crisp and clear as well and that is around $400 to $500 just for the scope.

Would you consider swfa SS 10x or 12x fixed? You don't need to spend so much to get good glass, but you will spend more for variable and get lower quality glass for it.

There are some very in depth reviews on YouTube for the 10x version of the scope.

        What's the link?

        Honestly for a 5.56, I'm really not looking for a 12x max.

Thanks for the info, I've been having the swfa in my scope, that I wanted to replace a scope for one of my LR308.

Here's the link. But make an offer if you might be interested. The mount is $180.

12x is not to much but yeah I do also like the 2-10x and 2-8x. My Luppy mk4 2-8x is on my spr build and like that set up a lot as well.

I have the P-223 on my varmint gun and the fixed 3 power on my carbine. They are excellent scopes for the money and have held up well, have good eye relief and are plenty bright for my tired eyes.

My AR wears the Nikon M223 2x8. So accurate it is almost boring at under 200 yards. If you don't want to spend big bucks, I find the Nikons to be a great value. Not the best scopes available but probably the best scopes for the money.

Vortex 2.5-10x32 is what I got for my 223. It's a great scope for an AR and you can get them for 650 as blemished/demos from Cameraland. They also have the SFP 4-16 vortex PST for 600. I have a nikon buckmasters on a varmint rifle, it works but the vortex is better.

If Nikon is out of budget, consider the BSA sweet .223 scopes. I got my 6x18 50mm for $54 from natchez.

                        Works great.

The Nikon's are nice scopes but you may also want to look into the Leupold Mark AR series.
