front sight question

so i got my first AR15 build done
and im having trouble zeroing it in.

ive got the Armalite M15 20 inch with troy front and rear sights.
the front sight is on the gas block. and ive noticed the the rail above the reciever is higher than the one on the gas block.

so when i fire at center mass at 25 yards my rounds hit a foot high. so wich way do i turn my front post.

Troy's were designed to mount on either a rial forearm or on a railed gas block that has the same height as your receiver.

In other words it won't work on your upper, either get a new front sight or get a new railed gas block.

bobfried is right... Troy doesn't currently make a gas block height front sight. You will not have sufficient adjustment range on that sight.

Move your front sight post down. Remember, elevation adjustments are opposite of what we think, down is up and vice versa.

If the shot is high, you move the front sight post up to lower the point of impact.
