    Sks marked 7.62x59??

Couldn't find a definitive answer on google or search on here. But I recently picked up a Yugo SKS and just saw on the barrel it's stamped 7.62x59. Same location it's stamped yugo and 59/66. Is this normal? My understanding was these were all 7.62x39. But then again I have very little knowledge on the sks platform. So is this weird or am I just slow? Lol

Could be a WECSOG barrel swap.

I would measure the chamber before use.

If not, if spent 7.62x 39 ammo ejects looking like a 45-70 case, you have an issue

Google results coming up for 7.62x59 now. Seems that a lot were misstamped as someone said in a post above. Relief lol. Was kinda afraid to shoot it. Picked it up in a trade with my buddy who didn't have cash but wanted a shotgun I was getting rid of.

The dot style printing is from the importer...

As with any mil surp, check it before use.

My M59/66 rifle is marked 7.62 x39. I see your rifle was imported by Century.

Does this make the rifle an instant collector's item, like those stamps printed with the airplane upside down?

Erm, I hope you aren't in state because that is a Pistol Grip Rifle with a detachable magazine.

Unless there is a bullet button I can't see.
