    Need help for a saiga

My 7.62x39 saiga lost it's handguard screw. Does anybody know the size and measurements for the screw. I contacted saiga (can't spell the actually company name ATM) and they said they wouldnt ship me a new one. So any help would be appreciated. I just want to replace it so I can shoot my ak again, she's lonely and in the safe. It's unconverted so I just need to know the standard handguard screw. Thanks guys!

Just got off work and seen your post, pulled the screw out of mine it's a 5mm x .8 -13mm long it flat at the head and takes a flat blade screw driver. hope that helps.

Well the measurements have already be made, but wouldn't any AK handguard screw work just fine? I haven't replaced my handguard yet, but I thought they were (post de-sporterizing) to standard AK 101 specs.
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

Do yourself a favor and replace the sling swivels and screws with this http://www.midwayusa.com/product/705...ls-1-1-4-black

You'll have to cut off a little bit on each screw ( I used a dremel cutting wheel), but it's rock solid.

Honestly bro I have no idea, I was just looking for help on this issue. I know very little about the ak platform.

The screw the OP is looking for isn't on regular AK's.

i think i payed 230$ @ primary arms for it. its a bit pricey i know but i like it better then any other rail for an ak out there and you dont really see these around so its different ! both rails on the top cover and for end line up perfect so it gives me a complete flat top like on a railed ar15. thats why i added the troy micros for a long sight radius.

Why don't you just take the handguard into a hardware store and find one that fits. Seems worlds easier then going online trying to order a screw. Betcha ya find one at Orchard Supply for 85cents.

Regular AK's don't have ANY screws in the whole front end of the rifle.
