Need help finishing my QD 80%....

    Hello y'all,

I bought two 80% Quentin Defense AR15 lowers some time ago, but never had time to complete them. Now I discover that the world has changed...

Aside from buying the jigs and buying a mill/drill press, what are my other options? I just want to get these done. I'm in the Los Angeles area. I'd appreciate any help. Cheers.

I'd guess your other option would be to sell them if you are unable to complete them yourself.

Jigs are cheap and you could probably do a lower with a hand drill and a router.

Wow... depressing. I was hoping to have it CNC completed--I'd imagine that the finish is better and more precise?

So the days of paying *anyone* (friends/buddy/friend's friend/etc.) to help to get it done are gone?

I meant using someone else's equipment so I can complete the work.

Amazing. If there was no registration and other b.s in California we would all be buying from palmetto every time they had their stripped lowers for $49.

IMO, if you don't have access to a cnc this is your best bet. I've done 2 myself this way, works great.

We stock AR15 lower jigs from models like our Easy Jig to our Universal Drill Press. See what AR15 jigs we have for your 80% lower build right here!

                            Here's another jig/hand drill/router method:

Thanks for the info the help guys. Some follow up questions:

I have the QD 80% lower--do they need a jig that is specific to QD?

--The description for the 80percentarms jigs reads "The Easy Jig is designed for 80% Arms AR-15 lowers. Compatibility has not been tested with any other type of lower. This is NOT a universal fit jig."

--The AR's Unlimited jig talks about fitting a wide variety, but the QD lowers' outside shapes/dimensions are not the same as the typical manufactured/100% lowers.

                              Thanks again folks!
