Range report on 80 percent build

Excuse my grammar and Punctuation and yeah lol.

lets start off with the the parts involved

16 inch 1:9 twist mid length Light weight barrel company is Hotshotbarrels.com
    Upper is billet wisconsin tactical
    lower is Broken Armory billet
    Ptac lower parts kit
    Ares Armory Full auto BCG
amazon.com gas block and gas tube
UTG which i sooner found out was a knock off UTG so i swapped out the guts
    Diamond vrs Handgaurd
    Nikon p223 3 power scope
that's about it for Parts list.

here is my issue every time i fire off a round it extracts fine but does not catch another round off the mag and it just puts the rifle into battery with Nothing in the chamber i constantly have to rack it to load another round into the chamber after each shot ive checked my gas tube gas block BCG all lubed and stuff only thing i can think is wrong is maybe the gas port on the barrel is off spec?? i dont know please chime in guys and Please EXCUSE MY GRAMMAR.

ammo being used is 55G steel case Tula .223
also 55G Winchester .223 does same thing.

Sounds like a magazine issue. Have others to try?

Check the gas key for leaks? Make sure the gas block is on correctly? Make sure gas tube is engaging the BCG correctly?

It sounds like your BCG isn't going back far enough. You can rack it and it picks up, so its not a mag issue.

Its somewhere in that line of things. I guy posted a thread with the same type of issues last week. He found a YouTube video of how to check everything.

              Found it!

Should tell you if the block is lined up too. I saw a guy using a piece of surgical or vacuum tubing from inside the ejection port.

Also check on the bolt to make sure the openings in the gas rings aren't all lined up.. The gaps should be staggered so that it does not allow gas to pass by.

I had a similar problem with a build. Turns out that I had slightly misaligned the gas block with the barrel. I could not detect it without a barrel lighting/sighting tool that my gunsmith had. It may also be the buffer spring weight but that is easily tested and correctible.

Gas block/port sounds like the culprit, if not it could be an issue with the buffer.

As said, triple check for perfectly centered gas block alignment in the rail. Then work your way back. Maybe you have a rifle spring in the carbine tube?

Load one round in magazine and fire, if the bolt doesnt lock back u are short stroking. Most likely undergassed. The only thing on your build that really worries me is the ares armory bcg cause i know that company has had some issues. If everything looks good try swapping the bcg as a last resort.
