AR Build Shooting way to the right and low

Last year I built a 300 AAC AR and just recently took it to the range. I had to adjust all the sights way over to compensate to get the gun to even print on the paper. This included iron sights, red dot and a scope. I used a laser bore sight at my friends and laser level on the top of the receiver and the red dot from the barrel was a couple inches to the right at 30 feet of the level from the top.

Could this be a bad chamber or something wrong with the shoulder on the barrel? The AR functioned great, cycling, ejecting etc it just can't print worth a damn.

    Thanks for any help.

I was at 50 yards shooting Barnes TacTX out of a 16 inch barrel and used a Nikon 300 Scope for the 300 AAC and took it off and used a Sightmark Ultra and Magpul Flip sights.

Check the squareness of your receiver face. It may cause your barrel to have a natural cant to it.

pics would help too of what you have, how much did you build? did you install the barrel to the upper receiver? torque to correct specs etc?
What kind of iron sights? like above said, your upper might not be flat. at 50 your rounds are lower than your sights and optics, the round is still rising up to your sights.

After taking the upper apart, i can feel a slight difference how the barrel mates with the upper, it rocks a little left to right when looking down from the top.

I can't believe that 3 sighting devices ran out of adjustment at 50 yards. You might want to take an experienced shooter with you next time and see what is wrong.

AR Build Shooting way to the right and low

Oh. I had low and right today when one of my gas block clamp screws broke and the gas block was touching my free float hand guard. (It was touching the lower right side of the hand guard --> MI SS gen2 12")

Replaced the screw from another rifle (so it stopped touching) and my scope fell back to center.

I have been shooting all my life and had a friend who has been shooting all his life too at the range. Gas block was on tight but thanks for the suggestion. Barrel maker is AR Stoner and upper is Spikes.

Take the barrel off and square the front of the receiver with this tool .

If you know what you are doing and the gun doesn't shoot straight, your gun is messed up. Take it to a smith.
