Hey guys,
Been a little while since I've been active on this forum but hoping to change that! Recently picked up a neat little rifle, colt xm177 upper with11.5in barrel (welded on 5.5 fh to make it legal). I discovered it has a Marietta A1 upper (not original likely, marked "p" for parts I believe) and mostly original parts minus the lower itself. I believe the LPK is Colt and found the marking "El" or "E1" on the hammer. Based on research, I believe those markings indicate the hammer is in fact Colt make, indicating the revision.
Any thoughts or other easy ways to tell if it is an original colt LPK? All the parts are the cool almost olive drab color Colt is known for. also, any thoughts on value? I have been thinking about selling the LPK to help fund a 22 upper for my girlfriend and would like to know an approximate value if it is truly a Colt LPK. Thanks!
