M&P15TS Upper anyone shooting this?

I am seriously looking at this upper. 14.5-inch 1:7 twist barrel with permanent flash hider on it to get it up to legal length. Troy Industries free floating guard, MBUS sights.

Is anyone running this upper? I want any and all info, good, bad, ugly about it. I love the look and for taking carbine courses I think this might be the one for me but I have no hard data on it.

$1000 + for an upper. Dont let the S&W name fool you. All of these uppers are basically the same. They all boil down to a few manufacturers. IMO

If you really want a nice upper many have them. It is your money but I would never pay $1000+ for a S&W. BCM has great uppers as well .

I suppose you are right. Maybe I need to do more homework on AR builds and save myself some money. On some things I just get lazy, and I think this whole AR thing is one of them. I have no real interest in learning the ins and outs of them, I just want to slap an upper on my built lower and have at it, lol. Stupid, I know.
