    Word About Samson Manufacturing

So I recently purchased a Samson Evolution free float hand guard and it arrived without a thermal bushing. Baffled I called Samson. The man who answered the phone politely listened while I explained and then without even asking for any proof of purchase (or anything else for that matter) sent me the missing part with two day shipping. The whole conversation lasted only about five minutes. So moral of the story is they are a great company with even better customer support. They earned my repeat business.

I like their rails. I am considering buying one as well. Good to know they are a stand up company. Thanks for sharing.
I actually had a similar experience with Geissele , tried to order new spring because I honestly lost them, they said "no way" and sent me new ones.

+1 for samson. Great rails for the money. I have Used 4 of there rails on builds and everyone has been on point. Just received my 15" 308 evolution rail. It looks awsome as well.

Really great company, I have one of their swing to the side flip mounts for the 3X eotech magnifier, it failed. I sent it in and they replaced it no questions asked, even when I was not the original purchaser.

Always glad to hear good CS stories. I have one of their Evo rails as well and now I'm doubly glad I bought it.

You paid hundreds of $ for a rail.

                    There was a missing part.

You called, they said they will send it.

I don't mean to be rude, but this is supposed to be special?

Did he apologize for the hassle?

I can tell you've never urn a small business. Nothing works 100% of the time for anyone: what matters is how you/they take care of things when it goes wrong. You'd be surprised how many small businesses make it your fault they made a mistake and expect you to bear the burden and costs for them making up for it. And large companies do it too—because as an individual, you are less important to them—a grain of sand on the beach. Samson stands apart and above in that respect.

Well sir you might have missed my point, which is the price point.

It's the norm for companies that offer discounted pricing to have a lower standard of customer service. It *should* be the norm for companies that offer products at premium level pricing to have a high service standard.

I didn't mean to say that to insult the OP or those that agreed, to cause offense, nor to single out Samson (which appears to offer some very nice products), but simply to say it should be no big deal, that's the minimum remedy to be expected, especially that the wrong part and some hassle was already done.

As a side note since you did mention that you think I've "never run a small business" ... that is very incorrect.

I get what you are saying, but based on my experience, that of those I know, and this forum, an error on Samson's part is very, very rare and they took care of it to the fullest extent they could as rapidly as they could. That differentiates them from the pack in my experience. Maybe a sick/tired employee's lapse or a new employee. Every business deals with that. No business is perfect. Ever. It's what they do to rectify the inevitable errors that matters more than anything else. If your business was 100% perfect all the time, then you can call it out. But color me extremely skeptical.

aha, I see. Duly noted... I was just shopping around for a new rail just yesterday, and Samson was in fact one of the brands that I was looking at.
