SOTA Arms 7.62x39 Barrel MISMARKED! WARNING!

Just a heads up for others that have recently purchased these barrels.

We (My friend and I) ordered two 7.62x39 barrels from SOTA https://sotaarms.com/component/jshop...13/14?Itemid=0

When they arrived, my friend (he ordered them) noticed they were threaded for 1/2" instead of 5/8". On further inspection (measuring for caliber size), he found that they are in fact 5.56 barrels but are MARKED 7.62x39.

We are still waiting to hear back from SOTA (Barrels arrived Friday).

Just wanted to give others a heads up.

Why doesn't that surprise me? You should check out the thread I started about one of their 5.45 barrels I ordered...

I have been too busy with work/personal life to follow up some more, but they never did call me back.

                  Agree.

I've owned a 7.62x39 barrel from SOTA. Looked and worked like a champ. Not sure if its right to start a thread with giant warnings over this before establishing contact with the vendor first.

                      .
How can you stamp a barrel 7.62x39 when its 556/223?? I would question the hell out of their quality control if that happened.

I bought an upper from them and it's a champ - accurate and I love the round hand guard. Why not give them a chance to make it right?

I ordered a phosphate coated M4 profile 5.56 barrel from them last year, showed up as an HBAR. I tried to get a hold of them, no communication from them at all. I won't shop there again.

You think it might be 7.62x35 aka 300blackout?
