Just want to make sure, because I had an FFL questions me on it. Are the current RRA lowers ok to purchase in California?

I thought this was a good point, and it was what I was thinking of doing. I am now thining I will stick with the double star lower I have unless someone can recommend a different lower that will better match the fit and finish of the rock river upper I have on order.

But I feel that if you have an RRA lower and an RRA upper that forms one of the listed rifles, you could get in trouble - though you'd have a defendable case, and the probability that a cop or DA or crime lab would even know what a given RRA (as opposed to Stag, DPMS etc) upper looks like is a bit remote.

Just to play it safe, don't put an RRA upper on an RRA lower in CA.
