Question, are either of these good optics? Does anybody have any experience with either of these? I know these are probably stupid questions so thanks for bearing with me.

save for a high quality optic. You will never regret it.

Oh man, my buddy has one of those leapers.....don't do it! Save for better optics. Get it for now if you have to but not for keeps. Its almost disrespectful to your gun.

With optics you get what you pay for until you get a certain threshold (1k range where it is a law of diminising returns beyond that). Most people don't factor in the cost of the optics into the cost of a scoped gun. Save money for good glass. If you can't afford a decent scope, sell the gun and get something with iron sights. Rant over.

If you let us know what exactly it is you'd like to do with your gun we can probably offer some choices. Do you have a budget? It seems like you're just shooting for the "cheap as possible" angle. If that's true you're likely to be better off with irons - unless you really just want a "play toy" that's not going to help much.

I would argue the difference between a Nightforce and a Leupold is pretty spectacular. I'd also say the difference between those and a S&B is pretty startling, too.

I would pass on both of those, and like other members have stated--SAVE your money for decent optics.

I actually own the 2nd one but two things:

1.it on my walther g22 /.22 bull pup

and

2.addax tactical has it for almost half that price!
