KAC panel kit to mount on a keymo rail???

I want use use the KAC panel kit handstop on my keymod rail. Is it possible? If it is then what other parts or modifications are needed?

Here's the panel kit. It's designed for the KAC URX 3 and 3.1 rail.

No Dumas it won't work. You should look for keymod specific rail covers. What rail do you have? Most have their own unique contour.

I have the SLR Solo Lite 13" rail. I just need the handstop. No need for rail covers. I did hear that KAC were going to come out with a keymod version of that handstop. That's was last year and still no sign of them on their site.

It wont' be a factory type solution, but it's possible. You just need a backing plate of some sort to fasten the screws to.. It might not be perfect and the handstop might slip depending on how you fasten it down. But if you're handy, you can probably get it to work without too much trouble...

I like KAC stuff too, but the URX panel kit was too pricey. I went with a cheaper solution via Midwest Industries handstop.. $15 bucks + another few for shipping..

I'm planning on mounting it to my Troy Alpha VTAC rail. Like you, it's not going to be a factory solution. If it doesn't lineup right, I'll make my own backing plate and tap it for the correct screw size..

I have looked at the KAC keymod handstop but it just doesn't do anything for me. Neither does the Weapon Control handstop. I might just get creative and make a keymod backplate to mount that KAC panel handstop...or just wait it out. We'll see. Thanks for the advice.

Maybe it's time to change SN or put Ken in my signature. LOL.

Why not just get the Noveske NSR panel kits?

Never was a fan of Noveske. Bam! There I said it. Even though, I did look them up and even watched the installation nightmares on youtube.

Installation was definitely not a nightmare. Your choices for those panels are the BCM, which look cheap IMO, or the Noveske, which makes my rifle feel like a million bucks when it's in my hand. Just sayin.

I agree, the bcm keymod rail covers looked pathetic but they have new ones in the works. They will be out this summer. Hopefully they will look much better.
